Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: March 2, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") sets out the rules for using WebsiteFeedback.ca ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to comply with this Policy.
1. Prohibited Proxy Uses
You may not use the web proxy feature to:
- Access illegal content: Proxy websites that host or distribute illegal material under Canadian law or the laws of your jurisdiction.
- Circumvent access controls: Bypass paywalls, login requirements, geographic restrictions, or other access controls on third-party websites.
- Scrape or crawl: Use the proxy for automated or bulk data extraction from third-party websites.
- Generate excessive traffic: Make an unreasonable number of proxy requests that could overload the Service or the target website.
- Hide your identity: Use the proxy primarily as an anonymization tool rather than for its intended review and feedback purpose.
- Infringe intellectual property: Copy, redistribute, or republish proxied content in a manner that infringes the content owner's rights.
2. Prohibited Comments
You may not post comments that contain:
- Spam: Unsolicited advertising, promotional content, or repetitive messages.
- Hate speech: Content that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
- Harassment: Threats, intimidation, bullying, or content intended to harm or distress another person.
- Doxxing: Publishing private or personal information about another person without their consent.
- Malicious code: Scripts, links, or content designed to exploit vulnerabilities, distribute malware, or compromise user security.
- Illegal content: Any content that violates applicable law, including defamation, fraud, or incitement to violence.
- Impersonation: Falsely claiming to be another person or organization.
3. Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
- Remove any content that violates this Policy without notice.
- Block access to the Service for users who violate this Policy.
- Report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities.
Enforcement actions are taken at our sole discretion. We are not obligated to monitor all content but may do so.
4. Reporting Abuse
If you encounter content or behavior that violates this Policy, please report it to contact@websitefeedback.ca. Include as much detail as possible, such as the URL being reviewed and a description of the violation.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
